We offer free shipping on every item on our site, which means we pay the shipping for you. Unlike most other furniture sites, we do not charge ANY oversize fees or additional fees for standard shipping. Free Shipping is to 48 States in the Contiguous United States only.
Large items have to ship via freight service. We partner with the best providers in the industry to help ensure your products get to you quickly and safely. The transportation industry is highly unionized and only delivers Monday-Friday during regular business hours. They will call you before delivery to schedule a time window when the freight arrives at their local terminal in your area.
When items ship via freight, your order will be placed on a pallet, strapped down, and shrink wrapped with extra padding with as much care as possible. Due to the size and weight constraints, machines such as forklifts and pallet jacks will move the furniture from place to place until it arrives at your destination. This process can add some extra lead-time because it's such a labor-intensive process. These deliveries are standard with a "curb delivery" which means as it sounds, they will drop the freight off on the curb, and it will be your responsibility to take it inside. Don't worry - they will call you to schedule a delivery time window so you can prepare appropriately.
Want an easier delivery? We have partners that offer White Glove Delivery Services and will be happy to provide you with the resources to set those up. We will ship your merchandise directly to them, and they will deliver inside, assembly, and remove the trash. Quotes will be peculiar to each order depending on the region, elevator access, weight, and time of construction. Please allow an extra 1-2 week for White Glove Deliveries.
We offer free shipping* to most addresses in the mainland lower 48 United States. If for some reason your address is not eligible for free shipping, we will contact you immediately. There will be no charges made before we do so.
Some furniture items are oversized or fragile and can only be shipped via freight carrier. These items are clearly non-refundable Oversize Delivery Fee. Freight Shipping will be delivered to the curbside/drop off, meaning that your order won't be carried inside your home. If you are ordering a very large or/and heavy item, please keep in mind that you need someone to help to move it.

We buy stuff online, and we understand how some purchases go. You open the packaging, take a gander at the sparkly new product inside and sometimes, you're underwhelmed.
Don't worry; we're here for you. We do our absolute best to make sure that your returns are seamless, comfortable, and entirely straightforward.

14-Day Simply Smart Returns: you don't like what you bought? No big deal. You let us know you want to return something, we arrange it, and we refund you when we receive the product back at our warehouse. It is that easy.
We make every effort to help you make an informed purchase decision by providing you with complete product information (including dimensions and lead-times) before you place your order. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you request samples and fabric/leather swatches to help you make an informed decision. However, if you decide you would like to return an item for any reason you may do so by contacting our Customer Service department within seven (7) days of the delivery of your order as indicated on the shipping company’s proof of delivery. At that time you will be given a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Please note that we are unable to accept returns without a RAN. Furniture and accessories are returnable for store credit, reselection, or refund with a 20% restocking fee if approved for return within seven (7) days of order delivery. Note: non-stock item and special made-to-order and is considered customized items, so they may not be returned or exchanged.
Freight charges are non-refundable; you will also be responsible for the delivery and packaging costs to return the items to Richport Designs. If you decide to order a replacement of equal or greater value for the product(s) you are returning, Richport Designs may waive part of the 20% restocking fee, but you will remain responsible for the shipping charges to return the original item to Richport Designs.
Refunds for authorized returns will be issued (less the 20% restocking fee and shipping charges) within 24 - 48 hours of Richport Designs receipt of the merchandise in its original condition.
How to submit a damage claim
In the rare event that your item arrives damaged, we require three things:
1. A brief description of the damage
2.Sign a physical inspection report and delivery receipt
3. Three photos:
1. photo(s) of the damaged item
2. photo of the shipping box, showing any damage to the box
3. photo of the shipping label showing your address and the tracking number.
Once you have these items (please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org), we will process the claim and let you know whether you will be receiving a replacement part or full item replacement. We will then ship the replacement and provide you with the tracking number.
We process claims as quickly as possible, however, if you have a date you need it by, please let us know, and we will do our utmost to get it sent out by the day you need it. Please feel free to call us directly at the contact number below if you have any additional questions.
Damage claims are exceedingly rare because of the strength of the wood, quality of construction, and excellent packing materials we have developed over the years. We have found that it is still possible for freight companies to damage items from time to time. We greatly appreciate your business and will help you start enjoying your furniture as soon as we possibly can.
Except for items that were delivered via Richport Designs White Glove, In-Home Delivery service, you must keep all of the original packaging materials, cartons, or crates in which your order arrived. You are responsible for re-packing the items in their original packaging for return. If you are returning furniture that requires assembly, please do not assemble the furniture unless you can disassemble it for packaging into its original shipping containers for return to us.
In addition to the original packaging, please be careful to include all of the accompanying manufacturer literature, instructions, hardware, and other materials with the return shipment.
Richport Designs cannot pay for the cost of unauthorized repairs or returns, or for the return of items which cannot be shipped in their original packaging either as a result of the fact that the containers have not been retained, or because the furniture cannot be disassembled. Unidentifiable and unauthorized returns will be refused at the warehouse.
